A Chair and You is an ambitious exhibition project supported by SCADA. It was developed around the universal theme of the chair. It will display a selection of over 270 chairs from the Thierry Barbier-Mueller Design Collection.

Thierry Barbier-Mueller‘s contemporary chair collection is one of the largest design ensembles in private hands. It consists only of prototypes, unique pieces and limited editions by renowned or young designers and artists from the late 1950s until today. The works of 342 different designers and artists make up the collection of almost 600 chairs. The exhibition is curated and staged by the artist and set designer Robert Wilson,and will be accompanied by an extensive catalogue.

The exhibition is confirmed for 2022 at the Musée de design et d’arts appliqués contemporains (MUDAC) in Lausanne, one of Europe’s leading design museums. The exhibition will also travel to Asia, Oceania and America (cities and institutions TBC).
